Redesigning and developing the digital profile of the largest art collection
 

Challenge

Established more than 30 years ago as an initiative by the Federal Government to help support Australian artists, Artbank has now curated a phenomenal collection of more than 10,000 pieces of Australia art worth in excess of $30 million dollars. 
 
These artworks are leased to business, governments (Australian and foreign), galleries and private homes. With an old and archaic website that didn’t reflect at all Artbank’s current offering, the organisation approached Deepend to redesign and develop their digital profile. 

Response

The challenge to Deepend was not simple: how do you showcase an ever growing collection of more than 10,000 artworks in a easily digestible and engaging way? 

 
The website needed to connect into Artbank’s existing databases and pull back a vast amount of detail for consumers. The website has been designed as fully responsive to give users the best experience regardless of what device they are searching on.

Result

As this website just launched, there are no results in terms of its performance thus far. 

 
However, Tony Stephens (Artbank Director), has expressed that he is absolutely thrilled with the end result of the project and is very much looking forward to sharing the website with the public.
